Biography

Dr. Chris Bell is a fellowship-trained rhinologist and endoscopic skull base surgeon with a strong commitment to advancing subspecialty care in Saskatchewan. Originally from Yorkton, SK, Dr. Bell completed his undergraduate, graduate, and medical degrees at the University of Saskatchewan before pursuing residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Calgary, where he obtained certification with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).

Following residency, Dr. Bell completed advanced fellowship training in rhinology, endoscopic sinus and cranial base surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, with focused expertise in minimally invasive management of complex sinonasal and anterior skull base pathology. His clinical practice includes advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, revision sinus surgery, surgery for empty nose syndrome and septal perforations, cerebrospinal fluid leak repair, and multidisciplinary management of sinonasal tumours and skull base surgery. Dr. Bell also has an interest in advanced surgery for obstructive sleep apnea as well as general adult and pediatric otolaryngology.

Dr. Bell is deeply committed to serving patients in his home province and strengthening access to highly specialized surgical care in Saskatchewan so that patients need not travel out-of-province. His goal is to build sustainable, collaborative programs that provide tertiary-level care closer to home while advancing education and research.

Dr. Bell is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents and is committed to mentorship and surgical education. His academic interests include outcomes research in rhinology, innovation in minimally invasive skull base techniques, and improving access to subspecialty care in Saskatchewan.
